The challenge
Successful crowdfunding campaigns create a good — and dangerous — problem: thousands of backers in dozens of countries waiting for what they bought. Shipping, taxes, timelines and production must work together, or the campaign's success turns into losses and complaints.
What was built
As Head of Operations and Global Supply Chain at Loot Studios, I was responsible for operations of the Malediction crowdfunding campaign (campaign on Gamefound):
- Global production and supply chain redesigned, with Lean, continuous improvement and integrated KPIs.
- 5 distribution hubs — USA, Canada, UK, Netherlands and Brazil — to deliver close to each backer, with lower shipping costs and fewer customs surprises.
- International fulfillment to 60+ countries.
- Operations for 10+ international trade shows (Gen Con, Spiel Essen, UKGE, Adepticon), with 120k+ visitors.
The result
- 3,000+ orders delivered.
- US$700k+ in revenue.
- 60+ countries served.

For your project
Whether it's board games or any other technology, and at any size, the path is the same: plan production, fulfillment and shipping before the campaign ends. That's what I do in the Crowdfunding & Fulfillment service.
